Taupo - MTB - riding the Great Lake trails
1-2 November - Our group of six enjoyed a weekend of riding several MTB trails near Lake Taupo. We were Lynda and Peter, Mary and Ken Mercer and Owen and myself. Great weather, scenic views and good company! Saturday we rode Whangamata to Kinloch, and in the afternoon we girls rode the Headland ride while the guys rode the morning ride again.
Sunday we rode from Waihora road to the lakefront beach at Kotukotu Stream, and return - an enjoyable but challenging ride!
